Where To Dine This Restaraunt Week In NYC

The twice-annual NYC Restaurant Week offers special prix-fixe meals at hundreds of restaurants in New York City.

New York City Restaurant Week is among the five boroughs’ best food holidays. Traditionally, New Yorkers (and a few lucky tourists) clear their dining schedules and make reservations at the city’s best special occasion spots, newcomers and all-time favorite restaurants for deals unseen the rest of the year. Hundreds of destinations participate citywide, with menu prices below their typical tabs.

New York City Restaurant Week actually comes twice a year, in summer and in winter, and each edition lasts for about a month. Restaurants curate their menus and produce prix fixe selections for brunch, lunch, dinner and sometimes all three. Saturdays are excluded, so only regular menu prices apply at that time.

Last winter’s price tiers of $30, $45 and $60 for two- and three-course specials have returned for summer, 2024.

Running now through August 18th, New York City Restaurant Week 2024 celebrates some of the city’s hautest boîtes, offering diners special menus at discounted prices. So, take a seat, grab a pencil, and plan out where to eat (and stay) in the five boroughs.

Perennially young and continually reinventing itself, Bottino has evolved with the area over the past two decades while maintaining its timeless appeal.

It has stood strong through the high and lows of the city, surviving the pandemic and graciously embracing the future. Co-founded by Danny Emerman and Chef Alessandro Prosperi — domestic partners turned best friends and business partners — the space reflects their undying dedication to the area and passion for hospitality.

Housed in a century-old hardware store with historic roots tied to an IRA gun-running operation during ‘The Troubles,’ the space was meticulously transformed into the contemporary setting it occupies today by architect Thomas Leeser. Design elements include:

  • Stripped down to its brick walls, painted gallery white, and adorned with mid-century modern influences
  • Recycled 60’s Eames and Knoll furniture
  • A beloved feature of Bottino is its lush outdoor garden, offering a tranquil escape from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Partner and Executive Chef, Jamie Kenyon joined the team in 2019 to bring a vibrant and innovative touch to the menu, offering a taste of Italy with dishes crafted from the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients:

  • Fried artichokes — artichokes with lemon, mint, chili-flake, sea salt
  • Bavette cacio pepe — pasta with grana padano, pecorino, black pepper, olive oil
  • Seared filet of branzino — sauteed baby kale, marble potatoes, gremolata

Complementing the food menu, Bottino offers an impressive selection of Italian wines and signature cocktails.
