The Spots to Dine This Fall

STK Steakhouse

While some folks are clinging to final days of summer, others are ready to say farewell to the sand and sunscreen and hello to the comforts of fall, like cozy sweaters and hearty pumpkin spice.

STK Steakhouse — the leader in “vibe dining” and best known for its high-energy dining experience — is making it easy for those looking to embracing the approaching fall season with their new and delicious and refreshed seasonal menu of pumpkin rich dishes.

Available for a limited time beginning October 2, the “Welcome Back Pumpkin” menu offers delectable takes on STK’s superior steakhouse cuisine and upscale cocktails, infusing the flavors of the season into every delicious bite and sip.

Strip House

Looking for your next celebrity hot spot? Well, we’ve got you covered. Strip House, the chic steakhouse with two locations (Midtown and Union Square) known for its frequent celebrity diners, has recently re-opened its sophisticated speakeasy bar and restaurant for New Yorkers to wine, dine, and even try its secret cocktail 😉.

The prohibition era may have ended decades ago, but speakeasies are still going strong in NYC, and Strip House’s Speakeasy is no exception.

Nestled next to the original Strip House location located at 11 East 12th Street, this speakeasy began as a “bookstore” only accessible to the socialites of Manhattan in the 1920s. Today, the Strip House Speakeasy has been transformed into a swanky spot for a pre-dinner drink or a bite at the bar.

With a revamped menu and cocktail list, the Strip House Speakeasy is open for business, ready to help you pen your next juicy celebrity sighting.

Twenty Three Grand

One of SoHo’s newest dining destinations and situated within a sun-soaked atrium beneath a retractable roof, Twenty Three Grand is the ideal location for al fresco dining or a quick cocktail this season. Taking inspiration from Philip Johnson’s Glass House and Europe’s atrium cafes the 2,700 square foot indoor-outdoor space was designed by stylist and interior design consultant Melissa Bowers and embodies livable luxury. Helmed by Executive Chef Ashley Rath and concepted from the minds of hospitality veteran David Rabin and James Julius the menu features global flavors and elevated classics with a Mediterranean flair.

Verano

Verano, a new outdoor restaurant and bar located on the plaza of Hudson Yards just is now open. Rhubarb Hospitality Collection RHC, the team behind Peak, the restaurant located on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards, is the team behind Verano.

Verano will be open seasonally for these last few weeks of summer and into the fall through November and brings a casual atmosphere that includes a mix of spacious outdoor seating with curated music.

Verano’s food and beverages include Mexican fare such as Ceviche Mixto and Esquites, and also offers a selection of traditional tacos such as Chicken Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Hongos, and Churros for dessert. Beverages like the Verano Margarita, a classic margarita made with tequila, lime and agave or their Frozen Paloma are served from a 1970s vintage Airstream bar.

Lulla

Lulla, is a new culinary concept that pays homage to Italian cuisine through a quintessential New York City lens. Located on the first and second floors of the Motto by Hilton New York City Chelsea, Lulla is the newest addition to Renwick Hospitality Group’s acclaimed restaurant and bar portfolio — including ART SoHo, ART Midtown, Lindens, and Foxtail.

Providing guests with a tranquil Italian hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, Lulla offers a relaxing atmosphere with reimagined classics on both the food and beverage menus. An ever-evolving menu, specially curated by Executive Chef Carsten Johannsen, showcases sustainable and local fare.

Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge

This transformation blends the spooky allure of Halloween with the year-round elegance of the rooftop bar and lounge. Expect to find pink flowers, pumpkins, corn stalks, festive wheelbarrows, and new signage. As you move to the East Terrace, you’ll encounter the iconic staircase, set against the backdrop of the Empire State Building, adorned with a vibrant floral and pumpkin installation. The creative vision for this pop-up was conceptualized by Yvonne Najor, Vice President for Tao Group Hospitality, in collaboration with Design House Décor.

Pastry Chef Erin Cayaban and Senior Beverage Director Nikki McCutcheon teamed up to curate new festive desserts and cocktails. These offerings include:

Kiss of Death ($20) — Crafted with rose petal gin, raspberry tea, lemon, and prosecco

Doctor Death ($70) — Presented as a red cocktail in an IV bag for two

Flaming Pumpkin ($36) — Featuring a flaming pumpkin head with spiced frosting

Skull Smash Cupcake ($18) — Carrot cupcake topped with cream cheese frosting and assorted sprinkles

Spider Caramel Apple ($12) — Granny Smith Apples dipped in vanilla caramel and covered in pink glitter

Mummy Krispies ($14) — Rice Krispies treats dipped in pink chocolate with candy eyeballs

Peak

Peak is a stunning restaurant located on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards. Helmed by Executive Chef Rose Noel (formerly of Hav & Mar, Manhatta) and designed by renowned architect David Rockwell, Peak is located at the summit of the 1,296-foot tall tower and occupies the entire floor. The Sea Fire Grill

Escape to this outdoor dining dream and enjoy some of the best seafoo that Manhattan has to offer such as: Squid Ink Pasta and Blackened Montauk Swordfish. Don’t forget to pair your meal with a craft cocktail such as their Benjamin Cure. Additionally, guests can enjoy half-off oysters and champagne by the glass during their happy hour on Monday — Saturday from 4pm — 7pm.

Benjamin Steakhouse

NR

Tucked behind a discreetly marked door on the Upper East Side, NR’s menu is inspired by the cuisine found in traditional 19th-century Japanese port towns, exploring the unique juxtaposition of where East meets West. The impeccably designed dining room and bar compliment the menu of extravagant cocktails, contemporary ramen, oysters and other small bites.

NR’s ‘Apple Pie’ is Owner and Bar Director, Shige Kabashima’s latest addition to the bar’s seasonal menu. Exclusive to the colder months ahead, the drink combines fig-infused Calvados and Earl Gray infused gin with apple cider, fresh ginger, and NR’s signature house apple syrup, followed by a unique milk washing technique to mix all of the flavors together smoothly. Other seasonal cocktail offerings include the ‘Apple’ and ‘Cranberry’.

Gitano Island

Gitano Island is a tropical restaurant and beach club on Governors Island, NYC. After four sensational seasons in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, the team behind GITANO has taken on the ambitious venture of transporting the Garden of Love Restaurant to a new 27,000 square foot waterfront setting, just a 5 minute ferry ride from downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn.

GITANO Island is lined with giant palm trees and hundreds of tropical plants and the dramatic 600 capacity Restaurant and Beach Club includes familiar elements like the iconic black Bedouin Dining Tent with 360 marble bar, the Twin Dining Pergolas and Open Fired Kitchen with the addition of exciting new elements including a Beach Club complete with Sunbeds and Tipis, a new CLUB GITANO members lounge centered around a 40’ water feature and a giant disco ball suspended over the water. GITANO introduced a tented stage and an exciting program of local and international DJs and live artist performances.

Buttero

Buttero, which means cowboy in Italian, features a fresh array of seafoods and pastas along with an extended prime meat selection. The 85-seat dining room inside adjoins a beautiful private garden outside with an additional 60 seats surrounded by trees and beautiful flowers, with bars in each space to enjoy one of the restaurant’s many smart martinis and craft specials. The building, beautifully designed by Norman Jaffe, features an oversized fireplace and cozy banquets, perfect for date nights. Eye-catching menu items include a 38oz Porterhouse for two, a 14oz Berkshire Pork Chop, and the 1.5lb Lobster Linguini with spicy tomato sauce.

The Dopo Restaurant Group was born out of friendship, and a desire to bring authentic Italian cuisine to the Hamptons. Accomplished chef and co-owner Maurizio Marfoglia, along with his wife Holly, partnered with Maria and Larry Baum over 15 years ago to bring their passion of Italy to Sag Harbor. With its popularity, one restaurant became two, two became three, and three became four! The Dopo Restaurant Group, under the watchful eye of executive chef Fabio Gutierrez, believes in a simple formula: create a space that always has excellent food, a great atmosphere, and amazing service.

Silver Lining Lounge at Moxy LES

Crafted by the visionary minds of Dylan Hales and Ronnie Flynn, renowned co-founders of the iconic LES hotspot, The Flower Shop, this hidden gem immerses guests in an intimate and dreamlike ambiance. Guests are treated to captivating performances by a rotating lineup of local piano players and vocalists, including the acclaimed Grammy-recipient vocalist and songwriter, Tim Young. These musical performances will elevate one’s evening to new heights.

In addition to the live entertainment, Silver Lining Lounge offers an array of small bites that one can indulge in throughout the night. Highlights include Spicy Tuna Tartare, Pain Grillé Au Fromage, and table-side caviar service that compliments well with the eclectic menu of specialty cocktails that pay homage to cultural moments such as Benny’s Cinema, Midnight Breakfast, and Violet Underground, adding an additional layer to one’s experience.

Pink Taco

Pink Taco was founded in 1999 by restaurateur Harry Morton, son of Hard Rock Café co-founder, Peter Morton. First established at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the Pink Taco brand has since expanded with restaurants in Los Angeles, Boston, Washington D.C. and Miami Beach, developing a cult-like following along the way. The restaurant’s Mexican-inspired fare is rooted in its California heritage and takes an uncomplicated and innovative approach to LA-style street tacos using local and scratch-made ingredients.

SARTIANO’S

Sake No Hana

A modern Japanese concept from TAO Group Hospitality. Set on the Bowery in New York City’s Lower East Side, frequented by notables such as Brooklyn Beckham, Heidi Klum, Taylor Lautner, Julia Fox, etc. This elevated dining destination designed by the famed Rockwell Group offers a unique culinary experience with a menu rooted in the purity of Japanese cuisine, paired with playful Western techniques and tastes.

Sake No Hana is the perfect destination for an elevated and authentic Japanese Sake experience, which offers 20 types of Sake, specialty flights, and a pairing menu.

Throughout the month of October, three new Sake flights will be offered — curated by Sake Sommelier Michael Wyant — offering guests a little bit of everything ranging from introductory sake’s, craft and heirloom brews, to rare and exclusive brews.

The Press Club Grill

Located at the intersection of Nomad and Herald Square, The Press Club Grill captures the essence of the Mad Men era in New York City, with a reinterpreted expression of Continental cuisine through the use of local, seasonal, high-quality ingredients executed with modern techniques. Avra Rockefeller Center

With locations across Midtown Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and Miami — Avra is famed for a daily-changing variety of fresh fish that customers can order by the pound, other Mediterranean specialties served in sunnily-designed dining rooms, and a robust by-the-glass wine program with more than 30 options.

The restaurant is frequented by A-listers such as Jennifer Lopez, Nina Agdal, etc. More than 1200 wines including collector and hard-to-find names span across all the restaurants. The Highlight Room

Tavern on the Green

The iconic New York City eatery, Tavern on the Green has been capturing the spirit of New York City since 1934. In 2014, co-owners Jim Caiola and David Salama (previously of Beau Monde and L’Etage in Philadelphia) re-opened Tavern with a completely redesigned space and menu that harkens back to the original landmark featuring warm, celebratory dining spaces, seasonal American fare, classic cocktails, and a robust wine list. Ophelia

Located on the 26th floor of the historic Beekman Tower, Ophelia is an Art Deco-inspired cocktail lounge with an indoor/outdoor wraparound patio, offering panoramic views of Midtown Manhattan and Brooklyn. A former muse for NYC’s Frank Sinatra, the concept serves as an ode to the building’s history as a 1920’s womens-only club and hotel, featuring jewel-toned accents, velvet banquets and eclectic displays.

Cathédrale at Moxy East Village

Marvelous By Fred

The iconic Parisian pâtisserie, Marvelous By Fred, has brought its pastries and breads uptown with their new NYC flagship location, located just down the street from Bryant Park. Recently opened in summer of 2021, guests can enjoy grab-and-go offerings or seated service in the 18th-century France-inspired dining room, complete with a signature 10-foot chandelier (the largest of all locations).

Featuring its famous “merveilleux” meringue cakes offered in six original flavors alongside a tightly curated menu of other French pastries and sandwiches, Marvelous by Fred makes all its sweet treats in-house daily in an open bakery environment. Highway Restaurant & Bar

Main Street Tavern

From the team behind Highway, Main Street Tavern in Amagansett is a year-round neighborhood restaurant and bar open daily with garden & bar seating. Executive Chef Anand Sastry (of Highway Restaurant & Bar) and Chef de Cuisine Yusuf Lovett developed a balanced menu of seasonal and savory dishes; all of the qualities that make for a reliable local favorite. Main Street Tavern’s beverage program includes several classic and creative cocktails, a wide selection of spirits, and a rotation of draft and bottled beers.

Their new brunch menu offers the brioche french toast, the grilled hanger steak, and salmon platter, and among the new dishes on the Fall menu is their chicken pot pie made with spit-roasted chicken and local vegetables. Serafina Express

Elaia Estiatorio

Elaia Estiatorio is an authentic Greek eatery located in idyllic Bridgehampton, New York. Husband and wife owners, Sofia Crokos and Chris Boudoris, pay homage to their Greek roots while celebrating the Hamptons’ resources, community, and spirit. Joia Beach Restaurant & Beach Club is a vibrant day-to-night oasis located near downtown Miami in a hidden enclave on Watson Island.
