Celebrate National Margarita Day With These Delicious Cocktails

National Margarita Day takes place on February 22 and it gives us every good reason to indulge in this highly quaffable alcoholic beverage. When life hands you limes, make margaritas!

Every February 22, we come together for National Margarita Day to pay homage to our favorite celebratory cocktail. The margarita — triple sec, tequila, and lime juice — was created in 1938 in Mexico and is widely considered the official drink of having fun.

It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere, and that’s never truer than on National Margarita Day. So get out a shaker, pull out your frozen margarita machine, or head to your local watering hole and order a margarita. Up, on ice, or on the rocks, you can’t go wrong. Salud!

Cristalino tequilas are a fast-growing subcategory of the tequila industry, outpacing total tequila category growth and gaining share.

This new innovation is handcrafted from start to finish following the Cuervo family process that dates back to 1795. The tequila is then aged in new American oak barrels for over a year before finishing in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, resulting in a unique flavor profile that imparts an extra Sherry softness to the spirit. The tequila is certified organic, joining Reserva de la Familia Platino and Reposado variants as the brand’s latest organic offering.

DeLeón Reposado Tequila

Ultra-Premium DeLeón Reposado Tequila blends the craft of the French winemakers with the art of fine tequila to create a Reposado with the incredible richness and complexity imparted by aging in both American (2/3 of the time) and French Oak barrels used to age wine (1/3 of the time). Mayenda Tequila

Mayenda’s pioneering process adds two extra steps of craft and care — maceration and the blending of agave miel into the base distillate — to capture the deep flavors and aromas of cooked agave, which are often lost in tequila-making. The result is a richer, more complex Blanco tequila ideal for sipping.

Served neat and at room temperature; to experience the full range of Mayenda’s flavors, sip and pair alongside a roasted and raw pineapple slice both dipped in pink Himalayan salt.
